Companies found guilty of offences relating to state tenders are set to be named and shamed in a new public register as part of a bid to further close the net on white-collar criminals.

In addition to identifying guilty companies, nonexecutive directors and shareholders could also be listed if they "knowingly" participated in corrupt dealings or "ought reasonably to have known" that a tender bid was fraudulent. The listed information is intended to remain in the register for up to 20 years.
